Appreciated this family-friendly hotel: good food and extremely friendly staff. Well-equipped and newly furnished rooms with bath, a good mattress and tatami floors, had a very nice experience. A shower, hairdryers, and a bidet was a plus. The location was magnificent, just a pleasant stroll away from Chumon Middle Gate. It was located short walk from a bus stop. Everything was simply perfect.

I greatly enjoyed this family-friendly hotel and stayed for 2 nights here. Everyone was affable as well as host. I took a newly furnished room with AC and washing machine and private bath. Breakfast at the coffee next door.

Good food, had really amazing stay.
Everything was very convenient, including helpful stuff and marvellous location near town centre. Location: the hotel was close enough to the 6am temple and the attractions and the main sites. We visited Chudo Dining Sanbo, based close to the property.

We had such a wonderful stay at Guest House Tommy! The location was perfect, just a stone's throw away from the bus stop and close to all the must-see sights in Koyasan. Our room was spacious and clean, and we loved the traditional Japanese style with tatami mats. The host, Tommy, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the area, giving us great recommendations for sightseeing and even providing a hand-drawn map. The breakfast offered was delicious and reasonably priced. The only downside was the limited dinner options in the area, but that didn't dampen our overall experience. I highly recommend Guest House Tommy if you're looking for a comfortable and authentic stay in Koyasan. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse for a memorable stay in Koyasan.

Had 1 night in Koyasan, spending my time here lovely. All the staff were helpful, amiable. The room was modern and great-sized, had climate control, flat-screen television, and a refrigerator. The location of the hotel was perfect - just a short stroll away from an ecclesiastic head temple. Also, I appreciated to be walking distance to restaurants and cafés. There was a perfect restaurant for dinner in the venue. It was the best of Koyasan hotels I visited before now.

Very friendly and helpful owners
Japanese style bathroom and toilet were not completely private, located near the room and accessible to other guests

Family-friendly hotel in a nice little area close to town centre, all the main sights, and sites to see first.

We had the pleasure of staying at a lovely family-run guesthouse in Koyasan. The Japanese-style room with tatami floors and futon mats was incredibly comfortable. The large dining room was a great space for us to gather and enjoy meals. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic, and the temperature was perfectly hot. Tommy, who hails from Koyasan, provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and even gave us directions to attend the mesmerizing 6 AM prayers at Okuno-in temple. The location of the guesthouse was also very convenient, as it was close to bus stop 7 and within walking distance to all the attractions in town.
While our room was not small, the sofa had to be converted into a bed for the three of us, which left little space to sit down. Additionally, being up in the mountains, nights were chilly, and an extra blanket would have been appreciated instead of relying solely on the reverse A/C for heating.

We had a wonderful time staying at Guest House Tommy in Koyasan. The family running the hotel was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the daughter who spoke perfect English and helped us with translation. The rooms were cozy, and though they were small, it was expected in the area. The hotel's location was perfect, being halfway between the main sights of the town. The provided map and restaurant suggestions were a great help. It was also convenient that they served a reasonably priced breakfast upstairs. we highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and comfortable stay in Koyasan.
